Vaughan Williams Symphony No. 5 in D will be performed by the Ohio State University Symphony, conducted by Antoine Clark. This work is decidedly more Romantic and lush than Vaughan Williams' previous symphony, and it even borrows from his opera (the composer referred to it as a "morality" piece) , unfinished at the time, The Pilgrim's Progress.
