She has been called one of the 鈥渂est guitarists in the world鈥� and has been hailed for her 鈥渇eisty virtuosity, impeccable technique and sensitive musicianship.鈥� Guitarist is definitely a talent to watch 鈥� and you鈥檒l have a special chance to hear her live Friday at 11 a.m. on Classical 101.

A native of Beijing, Yang comes to Columbus to perform a solo recital Saturday at 8 p.m. in Capital University鈥檚 Huntington Recital Hall. The concert will feature works by Albeniz, Schubert, Bach, Granados, Chen Yi and others, as well as some of Yang鈥檚 own arrangements.

Friday morning on Classical 101 Yang will give us a preview of her upcoming Columbus concert and talk about life as one of the world鈥檚 premiere classical musicians.
