The Colorado River is a critical water source for more than 40 million people, vast agricultural operations, and numerous industries in the Southwest. It is regulated by a complex body of interstate agreements, court opinions, and statutes, known as the 鈥淟aw of the River鈥�.
But as the West continues to suffer under the worst drought in 1200 years, the system is being pushed to its breaking point.
