Wellness Wednesday: The benefits of hormone therapy on transgender youth

The family were speaking out against President Donald Trump's decision to roll back a federal rule saying public schools had to allow transgender students to use the bathrooms and locker rooms of their chosen gender identity. Texas Governor Greg Abbott has categorized hormone treatment for transgender youth as 鈥渃hild abuse.鈥� Abbott is one of a number of elected officials looking to ban hormone therapy.

Studies suggest, however, that these treatments can be life-saving for young people.
