鈥淗illbilly Elegy鈥� author and U.S. Senate candidate J.D. Vance spent last week walking back past negative comments about former President Trump, including calling him 鈥渘oxious鈥� and 鈥渞eprehensible.鈥�

Vance has deleted old tweets and said Trump as president 鈥減roved him wrong." The author turned venture capitalist is the latest candidate to join the race to replace retiring Sen. Rob Portman.
