Ohio has joined 11 other states in prohibiting so-called 鈥渇ail first鈥� drug coverage policies for stage four cancer patients.
Also known as step therapy, insurers with 鈥渇ail first鈥� policies require patients to try cheaper and potentially less effective drugs before companies will cover newer, more expensive treatments.
