President Trump repeatedly has criticized voting by mail even as elections officials across the country and from both parties are at work to expand mail-in voting during the pandemic.

Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose has asked the state to approve $3 million for return postage on all absentee ballots in the state.

But that assumes the U.S. Postal Service is up to the job. Postmaster General Louis DeJoy spent two recent days on Capitol Hill addressing the challenges.
