The career outlook for perspective journalists isn't bright, with data from the U.S Bureau of Labor Statistics showing little growth for the profession coupled with low pay.
But despite these statistics and also being under attack by those proclaiming fake news, students are still drawn to journalism for various reasons, helping to bolster its relevance and give hope to the future of the profession.
