Ohio voters will consider whether or not to legalize the sale and use of marijuana in the buckeye state next Tuesday. The state budget office estimates legalized marijuana sales in Ohio could produce nearly $300 million in new tax revenue, most of which would go to townships, cities, and counties. On the other hand, some believe the plan restricts the current market far too much, which would establish and protect a monopoly.
