There are now four maps for Ohio鈥檚 Congressional districts, with the state going from 16 districts to 15 and state lawmakers drawing the maps because the redistricting commission missed last month鈥檚 deadline.

Another map was introduced late last week, with a November 30 deadline coming soon.

Experts at the Dave鈥檚 Redistricting website said the map from minority House Democrats released late Friday has six Republican districts, four Democratic districts and five competitive ones.

House Republicans proposed a map that favors Republicans in nine districts, with two Democratic districts and five competitive districts.

No hearings are set for those maps this week. But there are hearings Monday and Tuesday for the maps created by the Ohio Senate. Republicans in that chamber proposed a map with only two Democratic districts and six for the GOP, with the rest competitive. Democrats released a map weeks ago, with six Republican districts and three Democratic districts.

Only a third of Democrats would need to sign on for a 10-year map, and if that doesn鈥檛 work, the supermajority Republicans can pass a four-year map.
