And Then There Were Two
Former Vice President Joe Biden can now claim to be the frontrunner in the race for the Democratic nomination, as he captured 10 of the 14 Super Tuesday states. Biden shocked many by winning Texas, Minnesota, Maine and Massachusetts.
Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders won four states, including California, which had the most delegates of the day. As of today, Joe Biden – with 527 delegates – has a narrow lead over Sanders. But Sanders is not going anywhere.
Political Priorities Of Black Ohioans
A by the Ohio Legislative Black Caucus Foundation and Akron University’s Bliss Institute surveyed 1,500 black Ohioans on a wide range of issues.
The poll found that 53% of those surveyed favor protecting the right of citizens to own guns and 60% support small state government, with fewer services and lower taxes.
Respondents also overwhelmingly supported abortion rights and stricter environmental laws.
Snollygoster Of The Week
Joe Biden had an extremely sucessful week both at the polls and in getting endorsements from numerous candidiates who dropped out of the race. Whatever he did to garner those endorsements, it was certainly a shrewd poltical move.
