Last week, now we know. Sen Sherrod Brown is a run for president in . He could face a pretty crowded - and maybe even Gov. John Kasich on the Republican side.
Duck Bills
Republican lawmakers in Ohio are back and ready for action with a slew of under consideration. Among them are Republican-backed bills on campus free speech and the revival of the "Heartbeat Bill," a strict anti-abortion ban that was vetoed by Kasich back in 2016.
Republicans have already passed a , despite strong protest from the Ohio Legislative Black Caucus. Debate on the floor was contentious and Democratic state Rep. Stephanie Howse's microphone was cut off during an exchange with Republican House Speaker Ryan Smith.
Kasich is likely to veto "Stand Your Ground" if it gets to his desk, but Republicans have a supermajority and could override that veto.
