A son of the husband and wife pastors at Faith Life Church in New Albany and Powell was arrested on Friday and charged with rape.
Gary Thomas Keesee, 36, is being held at the .
The case is being handled by the Licking County Sheriff's Office, instead of the Knox County Sheriff's Office, which received the original rape complaint.
The Knox County Sheriff's report states Columbus police "contacted this office to report an incident of sex abuse involving a juvenile."
Keesee goes by his middle name Tom and according to , did media work for the church.
His mother is Knox County Commissioner .
Local media site reports residents of the county have attended commissioner meetings, calling on her to resign after allegations against her son were made online.
Drenda Keesee told the the allegations have nothing to do with her personally or her responsibility as a county commissioner.
