Obetz mother charged with murder in death of 2-year-old son

Lemou Cire, 39, is accused of murdering her 2-year-old son Tuesday morning.

An Obetz woman is accused of suffocating her 2-year-old son on Tuesday morning.

Lemou Cire, 39, is facing a charge of aggravated murder with a specification for a person under the age of 13.

Cire told police she killed her son by purposely putting her hand over his mouth, according to court documents. It happened around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Cire's residence.

She was arraigned Wednesday in Franklin County Municipal Court. She is being held at the Franklin County Jail on a $1 million bond.

Cire's next court appearance is set for Oct. 25.
