The focus centers on 4 kindergarten readiness drivers. Those are Health, Families & Communities, Education & Development Supports, and Public & Private Infrastructure.
鈥淲ithin each of these focus areas we have defined multiple goals and strategies to get us where we need to go,鈥� explained CEO of Future Ready Columbus, Jane Leach.
The goal is to get every child kindergarten ready in Franklin County by 2030.
Right now, only 40% of children in the county are ready for school.
Columbus Mayor Andrew Ginther says programs like Future Ready 5 can enrich children and be part of a comprehensive approach to invest in young people.
