More than 26,000 Franklin County residents have voted in-person or returned their replacement ballots since receiving incorrect ones earlier this month.
As of 5 p.m. Thursday, 53% of the voters who in Franklin County voted and had their ballots processed. The board says this number continues to rise daily as it receives more ballots.
All corrected ballots are being verified by hand.
On October 9, just four day after absentee ballots started to be mailed out, the Franklin County Board of Elections announced that almost 50,000 voters in the county had received ballots with the wrong information or address. That accounted for almost 21% of ballots mailed out to voters that week.
The board said a malfunctioning high-speed scanner caused the original issue. The election board mailed informational postcards to all impacted voters telling them about the problem and what to do next.

So long as they haven't mailed back their ballot, voters can also choose to vote early in-person at the election board building at 1700 Morse Road.
