The future of the Affordable Care Act may be murky, but one thing remains clear: Ohioans and others around the nation who want coverage under the law in 2017 have to sign up by the end of Tuesday.
The final day to register for Obamacare comes as the law remains mired in doubt. The Republican-controlled Congress has vowed repeal the act, and President Trump has already signed an executive order limiting the burden the law can place on people who don鈥檛 meet the coverage mandate.
Chris Keck from Enroll America鈥檚 Ohio office says they鈥檙e getting a lot of confused people asking for help.
鈥淥nce they know that the coverage they purchase now would be good at least until the end of 2017, they鈥檙e coming in to enroll just like they would have any other year," Keck says.
People seeking coverage face a deadline of midnight tonight to sign up.
Local events are being hosted Tuesday at Enroll America鈥檚 office on Dublin-Granville Road, and at Columbus Public Health on Parsons Avenue.
