A former Ohio State University students facing terrorism-related charges has been indicted for soliciting the murder of the judge presiding over his case.
Federal investigators claim Yahya Farooq Mohammad, 37, of the United Arab Emirates, not only wanted the judge dead but also wanted his would-be assassin to make sure his body was not found.
Prosecutors say Farooq Mohammad arranged for the delivery of money to an undercover FBI employee to carry out the plan.
Mohammad was indicted Wednesday on charges including attempted first degree murder of a federal officer. His attorney said they will vigorously contest what he called highly orchestrated charges.
Mohammad is one of four men with Ohio ties accused last year of trying to send money and other assistance to a known al Qaida leader. He has pleaded not guilty.
