Catholic Community Hosts A Retreat For The Umemployed

The Catholic Diocese of Columbus provided 35 people with information and resources for regaining employment. They hosted a retreat today at St. Threse's Retreat Center.

Director of the Office for Social Concerns at the Catholic Diocese of Columbus Mark Huddy says they wanted to get directly involved in helping people who are without a job. "We felt the call to try to respond to need and we tried to envision how we might best do that and this is what we came up with."

The retreat provided participants with spiritual, emotional and practical resources. The diocese is pleased with today's turn out and they're thinking of hosting another retreat. "Chances are very good that we'll be offering this type of retreat again. I don't know exactly when that will be, but we feel that there's a need and we'd like to respond to that need."
