Holiday Programing 2022

This year Classical 101 marks the holiday season with a variety of specials and daily local selections from our hosts.

Thanksgiving sees the return of some favorites: 鈥滶very Good Thing鈥 and 鈥淕iving Thanks鈥 from American Public Media and 鈥淎utumn Wonders鈥 from our weekly local series 鈥淭he American Sound.鈥

We鈥檒l be carrying special music for Hanukkah on December 17th at 4 pm and December 22 at 8 pm.

The week leading up to Christmas will feature a holiday special each night at 8 pm in addition to the festive and lovely selections played by our hosts throughout the day. Some annual favorites include A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols from King鈥檚 College, Cambridge, the traditional St. Olaf Christmas Festival, and A Chanticleer Christmas.

Plus the perennial favorite 鈥淣ew Year鈥檚 Day from Vienna.鈥

Classical 101 Program Director Cheryl Dring moved to Columbus in 2016, having worked in public radio since college. With stops in Austin, Madison, Dayton, Sacramento, New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Shreveport, Louisiana, she has seen much of the country through the lens of public radio and local arts.
